Ludmila Berlina, Speaker of the Regional Parliament , made a welcoming speech, noted that "benefiting from the implementation of raw materials projects, it is extremely important to invest money in the development of the infrastructure base of the Russian regions". At the press conference on the first day of the congress, Nikolay Khitsenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Irkutsk Region, said that the government is more than ever interested in the speedy development of gas supply for gas and chemical industry. Now the regional authorities are trying to accelerate the development of large gas deposits in the region.
"Two sites are selected for the development of gas chemistry in the Angara region. Plants in Sayansk and Angarsk, as well as Irkutskenergo, will become major consumers of "blue fuel". The energy company, for example, has been considering the issue of gas thermal power station construction in Irkutsk, and the using natural gas by a number of boilers", said Nikolay Khitsenko.
Boris Nikitin, President of the Academy of Technological Sciences, noted the importance of debate on environmental policies of companies engaged in extraction of natural resources. “The legislation statement on startup of any new venture in the operation, focused on the importance of construction of there cycling facilities, is necessary.
