“Grand Baikal” as BIEF Operator for the Fourth Time in a row

VII Baikal International Economic Forum has concluded its work. Preliminary statistics was announced at the final press conference. 1,433 participants, 337 foreign guests from 28 countries worldwide including, worked at the plenary sessions and round tables. Two plenary sessions, five international conferences, ten round tables, the meeting of the extended working group of the Council on Forestry under the Government of the Russian Federation were held within the BIEF framework. More than 200 speakers made presentations at the Forum sites. Four exhibitions operated during the Forum activity.
As Dmitry Mezentsev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region, informed at the final press conference, 15 agreements were signed at the Forum. Total expected investment is more than 67 billion rubles.
Sergei Naryshkin, Head of the Presidential Administration; Viktor Basargin, Minister for Regional Development; Alexander Torshin, the First Deputy Chairman of the RF Council of Federation (19 senators were members of the Council of Federation delegation), four deputies of the State Duma and delegations of 17 subjects of the Russian Federation participated in the VII BIEF activity. Alexander Aseev, RAS Vice-President of RAS, Academician; seven RAS members and RAS corresponding members; heads of 16 major high-tech, financial and industrial companies (En + Ggoup, Gazprom, ALROSA, Surgutneftegaz, TNK BP, Transneft, SberBank, Russian Railways, etc.) were the key guests of the Forum.
"Grand Baikal" was the operator of the Forum (with a record company for four BEF since 2006), one of its key assets, Baikal Business Center, became the key Forum business area.
On September 13, BBC hosted a round table "The Development Potential of the Resource Base and Infrastructure of Eastern Siberia", and the international conference "Europe-Russia-Pacific. Energy: Integration and Cooperation".
"Grand Baikal" company was responsible for the technical organization of the key activities (including corporate identity, design and fitting business sites, accommodation, meals and transportation, production of souvenirs and branded printed products). The Forum Press Centre, organized by the company, supported the BIEF official website, held 15 events for the media, created and distributed 21 informational tapes in the period from July to early September and about 50 detailed press releases on major events on the days of the Forum activity.
