Northern Baikal Lake

Duration: 9 days/8 nights

Tour period: June – September

Activity: cruise, hike to Froliha Lake, visit to Baikal Seal Rookery

Day 1

Arrival in Irkutsk. Transfer to Hotel. Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk.

Day 2

Transfer to MRS settlement (250 klm). Embark to ship on arrival at MRS. Cruise north along the coast of Olkhon Island. Visit to the legendary Shamanka Rock and the north cape of Olkhon Island and Khoboy Cape. Cruise across the lake to Chivyrkuiskiy Gulf at night (8 hours).

Day 3

Visit to unique Ushkaniy Islands, the rockery of Baikal seals (special permission is required). An easy walking tour around Zmeinaya Bay. Continue cruising north to Davcha settlement (5 hours).

Day 4

Fishing. Cruse up to Hakusy village (9 hours). Taking hot spring bath (extra charge).

Day 5

Cruse north to Aya Bay (1.5) A hike to Froliha Lake (3 hours, 8 klm from the bay).

Day 6

Cruise across the lake to Kotelnikovskiy Cape (5 hours). Visit to the picturesque Muzhinay Lake. Optional: fishing and swimming. Continue cruising to Elohina Bay (3 hours).

Day 7

Cruise to Pokoyniki Cape (6 hours). Fishing. Russian banya (extra charge).

Day 8

Full day’s hiking to the origin of the River Lena. Cruse back to Maloe More at night (10 hours).

Day 9

Transfer to Irkutsk (7 hours). Departure.

Note!!! The cruise part of tour itinerary may be changed because of unfavorable weather conditions.
